Meet Chef Celio
35 years in the kitchen. A lifetime of Italian tradition. Now he brings it all to your team.
The Chef
Rooted in Boston's North End
Chef Celio grew up in Boston's historic North End — one of America's oldest Italian-American neighborhoods — where food wasn't just sustenance, it was culture, community, and love. From a young age, he was surrounded by the aromas of fresh pasta, slow-simmered sauces, and wood-fired bread, learning the fundamentals of Italian cooking long before he ever set foot in a professional kitchen.
His professional career spans more than 35 years, including a tenure as executive chef at Mammamarias, where he refined his craft and built a reputation for authentic, soulful Italian cooking. But it was teaching — more than 15 years of hands-on cooking classes — that became his true calling.
Chef Celio specializes in the techniques that define Italian cuisine: hand-rolled fresh pasta, homemade mozzarella pulled to order, and classic desserts like tiramisu made the way his grandmother taught him. His approachable style and genuine passion for sharing these traditions make every class feel less like a lesson and more like a family dinner.
The Origin
Why Chef on Location?
After years of teaching in fixed kitchens, Chef Celio noticed something: the best moments always happened when people cooked together — laughing over a botched pasta shape, celebrating a perfect tiramisu, sharing a meal they made with their own hands.
Chef on Location was born from that insight. By bringing the kitchen to corporate teams instead of asking teams to come to a kitchen, Chef Celio made it possible for any company — anywhere — to experience the connection that cooking creates. No commute, no unfamiliar space. Just great food, great company, and a chef who genuinely loves what he does.
"The best moments always happened when people cooked together."
